Modders: you don't have JK Simmons to perform your script as Cave Johnson-that is acceptable and understandable. Though I like that the modders of this game chose to set the story to when Aperture was in it's golden age, they really did a bad job of setting themselves up to be critiqued in this light. Though I like that the modders I completely appreciate the effort that was put into this game, but for me it will always feel "less-than". If you thought that Portal 2 was too easy, play Portal Stories: Mel -Final Evaluation- 9.25/10 … Expand This and other games like Shovel Knight prove that gaming without difficulty is nothing. The levels, even the first one, are very hard and are only for the pro players.

Playability- Almost same as Portal 2, quite friendly, but not 100% equal. You see things from a little guy that really wants to help you (differently from Wheatley) to an aggressive and scary supercomputer and security system. "What happened to me?" … Expandįirst came to this gamer thinking about an alternative story in the overgrown Aperture. When she finally wakes, there is a fake Cave Johnson telling her she needs to escape the facility and a new device called the Aperture Handheld Portal Device, her mind races with questions. Not everything worked as it should have though, but that wasn't going to get in the way of the progress of Science! Mel unfortunately took part in a faulty test called the Aperture: Science Innovators Short-Term Relaxation Vault, falling asleep for years. 1952, in the early years of Aperture: Science Innovators, Cave Johnson's scientists experimented with whatever they wanted. It tells the story of Mel, who meets a new personality core and faces an undiscovered threat to the Aperture facility. 1952, in the early years of Aperture: Science Innovators, Cave Portal Stories: Mel is a community made, free modification for Portal 2 based in the Portal universe.
